I was personally responsible for developing and presenting slides on tight timelines to present directly to senior client leadership, both technical and non-technical. Critical constraints were changed, and rapid determinations of feasibility in a tightly integrated system became routine. I worked with the client to develop experimental plans tailored to their specific needs, developed the protocols, and was able to de-risk concepts. It was also important to balance building knowledge with being efficient in a business environment. I learned how to value my time quantitatively, and how to save the company money by ordering things that improved my personal efficiency.
